Douglas County, Colorado

Soil Remediation

The purpose of this project was to clean up the southern portion of the property that once consisted of a domestic trash landfill for the Town of Parker, so that it could be utilized in future development opportunities. The historical landfill site was active from 1974 to 1975 and consisted of a pit originally assumed to be roughly 400 feet east to west and 100 feet north to south on the southern portion of the property. Prior to and during the initial phase of the project, Hudspeth assisted Douglas County in obtaining a VCUP to complete the project. Hudspeth successfully remediated 45,434 cubic yards of trash debris and imported 40,698 cubic yards of clean fill material totaling 5,368 loads in 49 working days. A “No Further Action” (NFA) letter was obtained as part of this project.

“I just cannot say enough about how positive the experience working with Hudspeth has been from start to finish. The abatement process had been an absolute nightmare until we found you. I am extremely grateful. You will most definitely be our go-to in the future. Thank you, thank you, thank you!” --Jenny E., Downtown Development Group
